The 2004 Blueprint is elegant and beautifully integrated with an appealing depth of flavors. Whether the wine is served at an important occasion or a simple dinner at home, we believe it will add a subtle note of pleasure to the meal. While showing beautifully at the time of release, the '04 should show excellently for a minimum of ten years. Philippe Melka, winemaker at Lail since our inaugural vintage in 1995, notes, The nose reveals intense mix flavors of dry herbs, weedy tobacco, blueberry and sweet oak. Medium to full bodied, the wine expresses a beautiful integration of ripe fruit aromas, soft tannin and low acidity. Seductive, approachable, the delineation is perfect which contributes to a long sweet, vanilla and red cherry finish.
50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Merlot, and 16% Cabernet Franc.
