75% Petite Sirah, 15% Barbara, 8% Zinfandel, 2% Carignane. We're seeing more red blends from all over the world these days, and this dark garnet is one of the better ones we've run into. It delivers the kind of big, rich, earthy, toasty, tarry black fruit that you might expect from a wine that could legally be labeled as a Petite Sirah, and it has the depth and concentration to soak up 13 months worth of French and American oak (20% new). It's already drinking well, but is structured to develop and improve for three to five years and beyond, assuming, of course, that you have the will power and patience to keep your hands off of it right now.
