- ITALY - Castello Di Corbara Cabernet Sauvignon 2004 750 ml. Deep, dark color, with equally deep, dark black currant and blackberry flavors and aromas accented with some red pepper and underscored with some serious earthy minerality. Very well structured, with excellent length on the finish, and yet already delicious; think medium rare rib eye steak with this one, or maybe even some serious steak tartare. Sourced from small vineyards located at different altitudes and exposures (Vallecchio, Ponticello & Viavalle), using the cordon system, spur pruned with 6-8 buds; soil varies from medium to loose calcareous clay with an alluvial substrata and pebbles. Individual vineyards harvested separately and by individual clones, with vinification and maceration separately for each vineyard, in steel containers, for around 15-18 days at controlled temperatures. After initial fermentation, malolactic fermentation continues in small oak casks, where the wine remains for 12 months. Bottle-aged for 6-9 months before being put on the market. 863-301533

- NAPA VALEY - Edge Cabernet Sauvignon 2006 750 ml. The main reason behind EDGE is to give our customers a premium Cabernet Sauvignon, without the premium price. EDGE is the most reasonable Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon that one will find on the shelf, which does not compromise on quality. Blended by a notable winemaker, EDGE Cabernet Sauvignon drinks wonderfully now, and will age well for five to eight years. Edge spent 16 months in French and American oak barrels, of which 30% were new. It is a blend of Cabernet and a small amount of Merlot to round out the edges. The partnership that came together to produce this remarkable wine, not to mention exceptional value, has a long history in the wine, leisure, and investment sectors. 853-1764

- WASHINGTON - Chateau Ste. Michelle Indian Wells Cabernet Sauvignon 2005 750 ml. “The Indian Wells Cabernet is our warm climate ripe, jammy Cabernet. The 2005 bottling is no exception. The wine exudes sweet blackberry pie and vanilla aromas and flavors with loads of complexity. This is our big bold, obvious Cabernet and after just two vintages, it has quickly become a fan favorite. Wonderful Cab from such esteemed growers as Indian Wells, Jones, Washington Fruit and even Cold Creek Vineyard are woven together with a little Syrah to make a wine that says boldly 'I'm from Washington.' Meant to enjoy in its youth, try it with shish kabobs, a flat iron steak or even with a nibble of dark chocolate." -Bob Bertheau, Head Winemaker, Chateau Ste. Michelle. 851-229605
